Job Description
We’re looking for engineers who enjoy building and operating infrastructure that supports open source software at scale. The work involves solving complex platform and reliability challenges, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and helping organisations design systems they can run and evolve independently over time. This is a fully remote role with flexible working and a strong focus on technical depth. You’ll be contributing to infrastructure across a range of industries, working on areas such as Kubernetes platforms, cloud infrastructure, automation, and observability systems. Kubernetes is a critical part of the stack, but success in the role also requires a solid grounding in broader infrastructure topics, including Linux systems, networking, storage, CI/CD pipelines, and production reliability practices. The work is hands-on and collaborative, focused on delivering practical, maintainable solutions using open source technologies. You’ll help diagnose difficult production issues, evaluate trade-offs, recommend appropriate tools and approaches, and work alongside engineering teams to improve platform maturity. We’re looking for strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure, along with the ability to troubleshoot distributed systems in complex environments. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, observability tooling, and automation is valuable, but equally important is the ability to adapt quickly, reason through unfamiliar systems, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a role for engineers who enjoy a mix of infrastructure engineering, reliability work, and technical advisory responsibilities, with opportunities to make a meaningful impact on how organisations build and operate their platforms over the long term.
