Job Description:

Join an established data consulting business as a Platform Engineer, where you will be instrumental in supporting and evolving the foundational infrastructure that drives large-scale data intelligence. This is a permanent opportunity for a technical leader looking to transition from purely maintenance roles into high-level creation and design. You will be the vital link between architectural vision and hands-on technical execution, responsible for designing and deploying high-performance infrastructure components (such as Data Factory, Key Vault, and Private DNS) essential for complex data ecosystems to thrive.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting and evolving the foundational infrastructure that drives large-scale data intelligence
  • Being the vital link between architectural vision and hands-on technical execution
  • Designing and deploying high-performance infrastructure components (such as Data Factory, Key Vault, and Private DNS) essential for complex data ecosystems
  • Owning the entire platform lifecycle, from initial discovery sessions through to operational handover

Requirements:

  • Strong hybrid cloud experience (AWS/Azure)
  • IaC Mastery: Proven experience with Terraform & Bicep
  • Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
  • Cloud Hybridity: Proficiency in Azure (including VNets, VPN Gateways, Private Endpoints) coupled with practical AWS experience
  • DevOps Excellence: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain seamless CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub
  • Consulting DNA: Experience in client-facing environments
  • Design Ownership: A proactive approach to contributing to high-level designs and taking full ownership of Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
  • Security Focus: A commitment to best practices in identity and access management (Entra ID) and secure networking dependencies
  • Financial Governance: An understanding of cloud financial management, including monitoring and optimizing Azure cost management
