As a Platform Engineering Specialist, you will design, build, and maintain secure, automated, and compliant platform capabilities. You will ensure that Azure and Kubernetes environments are secure by design, automation-driven, and ready for accredited operational use. In this role, you will support containerised applications and modular deployable systems. Your focus will be maintaining platform availability and resilience while embedding integrity and compliance controls into the build and deployment processes.
Job Responsibility:
Engineer and maintain secure Azure environments for development and operational workloads
Design and operate Kubernetes platforms for containerised workloads and artefact repositories
Implement platform guardrails, lifecycle controls, and runtime security policies
Develop automated CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code practices
Generate assurance evidence for accreditation and ensure environments meet security standards
Support platform resilience and recoverability, and contribute to operational documentation and runbooks
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience engineering platforms in Microsoft Azure
Secret level Security Clearance
Ability to work with Kubernetes, container technologies and manage artefact repositories
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation
Knowledge of Linux systems and experience in security-sensitive environments
Familiarity with secure software supply chain practices and system accreditation processes
Experience working in regulated or security‑sensitive environments
