Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Platform Developer to join our Digital & IT Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining cloud‑native software components that support secure, scalable, and high‑performing digital platforms across multiple markets. Working within cross‑functional, product‑focused squads, you will contribute to the delivery of end‑to‑end digital experiences and customer journeys. You will apply modern engineering practices, collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders, and actively support agile delivery methodologies. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with a passion for building resilient, high‑quality solutions in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, build, test, and maintain cloud-native software components
  • Build high-quality, maintainable software across backend services, APIs, data flows, and integration layers
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads, Product Owners, and Delivery Leads
  • Write clean, secure, and well-tested code for microservices, APIs, and integration components
  • Implement solutions aligned to architecture guidelines
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and agile ceremonies
  • Contribute to test automation and quality-first engineering practices
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational readiness
  • Diagnose incidents, resolve defects, and improve platform services
  • Maintain clear documentation and contribute to reusable engineering components
  • Support optimisation of performance, scalability, and resilience across services
  • Collaborate with external partners where applicable

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical development experience
  • Strong software engineering expertise
  • Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Python, or Spring Boot
  • Microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerisation (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
  • Automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools
  • Strong understanding of data structures, integration patterns, and secure coding practices
  • Agile team experience
