The Project Manager 1 provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. Ensures creation of plans, monitors costs, tracks risks, and manages change control during project execution. Responsible for stakeholder management, quality of deliverables, operational efficiency, and overall project outcomes. Supervises team performance and ensures compliance with company standards and practices. Additionally, manages service readiness initiatives, drives efficiency improvements, and identifies areas for process, service, or technology enhancement in regional operations.
Job Responsibility:
Manages one team, consisting of support staff and/or entry level analysts
Ensure creation of project plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log
Identify key stakeholders who will participate in project scope definition
Identify, document, and understand project dependencies
Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to project & monitor commitment
Ensure change control is executed throughout project
Establish project communication needs and create project communication plan
Track actual project costs, identify variances, and reforecast project costs as needed
Measure project management performance against standards
Create the project risk management plan
Work with procurement team to create, administer, track, and eventually close project contracts
Make recommendations for training and development needs for assigned personnel
Evaluate subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions
Apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area to resolve issues
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Execute against regional and/or personal Book of Work
Set individual performance plans for members of the team and provides coaching and feedback through a formalized review process
Aid the annual compensation cycle for the team including making recommendations and communicating to employees appropriately
Deliver against appropriate metrics for the area as agreed by Regional Service Readiness Manager
Ensure overall operating efficiency objectives may include standards of conduct, quality of standards, performance objectives and any productivity guidelines
Manages own Service Readiness book of work for the region, including priorities & risks
Identify any opportunity for, and implement process improvements, service or technology enhancements
Identify control deficiencies and implement appropriate procedures to mitigate any risk or control losses
Identify opportunities to reduce expenses through improved technology builds or process changes
Requirements:
5-8 years relevant experience
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
3+ years industry experience
2+ years of project management experience
Demonstrate product and industry knowledge
Ability to work within a team with challenging common goals and objectives
Ability to be an excellent team player
Well-developed influencing skills
Ability to build and motivate partnerships
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
Good business/organization judgment-ability to make a good business decision
