Job Description:

We are in search of a Plantiff Litigation Paralegal to become part of our team. This role is based at a law firm in Downtown Houston, Texas. As a Plantiff Litigation Paralegal, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including the processing of legal documents, maintaining case records, and acting as the point of contact for relevant parties. This position requires you to work on-site.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately and efficiently process e-filing for both state and federal levels
  • Manage and maintain detailed case records
  • Handle the preparation of discovery requests and pleadings
  • Manage e-discovery and document production tasks
  • Act as the key point of contact for relevant parties involved in the case
  • Draft and dispatch correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel
  • Prepare for trials and schedule case-related events
  • Monitor deadlines and manage calendar events
  • Oversee claim administration duties
  • Utilize various software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), Case Management Software, CompuLaw for various tasks
  • Carry out briefing and billing functions
  • Ensure clear and effective communication across all levels

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Plantiff Litigation Paralegal
  • Proficient in using Aderant
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
  • Experience with Case Management Software
  • Proficiency in CompuLaw
  • Familiarity with billing functions in a legal setting
  • Experience in briefing for case preparation and courtroom support
  • Proficiency in calendar management
  • Experience in claim administration
  • Excellent communication skills
