Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Manager to lead the technical operations of one of our client's subsidiary manufacturing plants in Shanghai, China. This role combines strong technical expertise, problem-solving capability, and team leadership, and is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being actively involved in industrial operations rather than a purely corporate role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Full technical responsibility for the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of production lines (extruders, blown film lines) and all related industrial equipment
  • Organization, leadership, training, and development of the local technical team
  • Systematic troubleshooting and continuous improvement of plant reliability and performance
  • Leading plant expansion projects, new installations, and technical improvements, in collaboration with the local technical team, the Group’s technical team in Greece and the external contractors and equipment suppliers

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in leading a technical department of an industrial manufacturing facility
  • Degree in Engineering from a Polytechnic University, preferably Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Combines technical expertise with the ability to lead and develop a technical team
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of industrial equipment and the ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve technical issues proactively
  • Fluent English and Greek language (spoken and written) is mandatory

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Chinese or other foreign languages will be considered an additional asset
