FM Conway is currently seeking a Plant Supervisor to join our Aggregate and Asphalt division and play a key role in launching our brand-new asphalt manufacturing plant in Wellingborough. The Plant Supervisor will perform a multi-skilled role that includes operating the asphalt plant, mobile plant, and weighbridge functions, alongside coordinating shifts and supervising the site. This is a full time, permanent role.
Job Responsibility:
Supervising and motivating the operational team to achieve excellence and continual improvement in both quality and efficiency
Managing stock levels of fuel, constituent and raw materials
Ensuring mixing plans are carried out in an effective and cost-effective manner
Carrying out all weighbridge functions, including managing the daily delivery schedule and maintaining effective communication with team members to ensure customer needs are met
Reporting critical issues in a timely and accurate manner
Generating task specific risk assessments and safe working practices
Controlling and supervising contractors in line with company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
Experience with asphalt plant manufacturing operating systems
Good understanding of health and safety practices and legislation
Experience operating loading shovels, telehandlers and weighbridges
Strong customer focus
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to lead and motivate a team
