Job Description

Astrion is seeking a Plant Science Intern who will support research activities focused on spaceflight and ground-based plant growth experiments. This position provides hands-on experience in controlled environment agriculture and space crop production technologies.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with spaceflight and ground plant growth experiments.
  • Support plant cultivation and maintenance in controlled environment systems.
  • Perform plant propagation activities and routine crop care.
  • Assist with monitoring and optimizing water and nutrient delivery systems.
  • Collect, record, and organize experimental data.
  • Support laboratory and greenhouse operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Biology, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
  • Interest in plant growth systems and controlled environment agriculture.
  • Ability to follow laboratory procedures and work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice to have

  • Coursework or experience in plant physiology, horticulture, hydroponics, or controlled environment agriculture.
  • Experience with data collection and basic scientific research methods.
