Plant Operative - Immediate Start Available Location: Deeside Pay Rate: £14.60 per hour + shift allowance bonus Job Type: Temp to Perm Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Aspion are currently recruiting for a Plant Operative to join a busy and growing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience operating plant machinery who is looking for a long-term role with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Job Responsibility

  • Operating plant machinery safely and efficiently
  • Loading and unloading vans and deliveries
  • Keeping the site clean, tidy, and organised at all times
  • Carrying out general yard and operational duties as required
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures
  • Supporting the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • FLT Licence or Loading shovel or Licence, 360 excavators
  • Previous experience operating any type of plant machinery is essential
  • Ability to work rotating shift patterns
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work.

  • Conducting daily inspections and light maintenance of plant machinery, such as greasing and clearing debris
  • Processing waste materials, including shredding, to ensure smooth operation of the site
  • Loading vehicles for the onward transportation of waste
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment through regular housekeeping duties
  • Liaising with site supervisors and weighbridge staff to coordinate waste transfer
  • Following the site’s Traffic Management Plan (TMP) and Fire Prevention Plan (FPP)
  • Providing excellent customer service to hauliers and site visitors
  • Complying with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
