Job Description:

The Plant Manager will be responsible for an operations and maintenance contract at a Data Center Energy facility located in central Ohio and will be the primary interface with the project owner.

Job Responsibility:

  • Communicate effectively with the client, site staff, management, vendors, and outside agencies
  • Demonstrate effective management skills in meeting or exceeding facility goals an objectives
  • Responsible for the enforcement of and compliance with the Operations and Maintenance Agreement
  • Responsible for the enforcement of and compliance with permits and all regulatory requirements
  • Responsible to generate annual budgets and ensure site operates within acceptable variances
  • Ensure compliance and enforce safety policies and procedures and serves as a role model in safe work practices
  • Prepare and submit to the client, in a timely manner, all reports and information required under the terms of the O&M contract
  • Provide recommendations to management and the client on plant upgrades and enhancements that would improve the reliability, efficiency, performance, safety, or environmental readiness of the plant
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of maintenance and outage activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent technical experience in power generation
  • Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement in a plant environment
  • A minimum of ten years mechanical experience in plant environment
  • Experience and strong skills in working with non-technical clients
  • A working knowledge of engineering principles and chemistry as it relates to plant operations as well as environmental and water treatment programs and statutory regulations
  • Develop and manage capital and operating budgets, bid proposals, contract evaluation, basic accounting principles and plant economics
  • Demonstrate the ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic drawings, and technical manuals
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems, clearly communicate tasks and needs, and training of other personnel, and strong multi-tasking skills
  • Analyzes and interprets data to make sound professional judgments and recommendations
  • Ability to manage and motivate subordinates
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
