The Plant Manager will be responsible for an operations and maintenance contract at a Data Center Energy facility located in central Ohio and will be the primary interface with the project owner.
Job Responsibility:
Communicate effectively with the client, site staff, management, vendors, and outside agencies
Demonstrate effective management skills in meeting or exceeding facility goals an objectives
Responsible for the enforcement of and compliance with the Operations and Maintenance Agreement
Responsible for the enforcement of and compliance with permits and all regulatory requirements
Responsible to generate annual budgets and ensure site operates within acceptable variances
Ensure compliance and enforce safety policies and procedures and serves as a role model in safe work practices
Prepare and submit to the client, in a timely manner, all reports and information required under the terms of the O&M contract
Provide recommendations to management and the client on plant upgrades and enhancements that would improve the reliability, efficiency, performance, safety, or environmental readiness of the plant
Oversee the planning and implementation of maintenance and outage activities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent technical experience in power generation
Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement in a plant environment
A minimum of ten years mechanical experience in plant environment
Experience and strong skills in working with non-technical clients
A working knowledge of engineering principles and chemistry as it relates to plant operations as well as environmental and water treatment programs and statutory regulations
Develop and manage capital and operating budgets, bid proposals, contract evaluation, basic accounting principles and plant economics
Demonstrate the ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations
Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic drawings, and technical manuals
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to solve practical problems, clearly communicate tasks and needs, and training of other personnel, and strong multi-tasking skills
Analyzes and interprets data to make sound professional judgments and recommendations
Ability to manage and motivate subordinates
Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
