Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Divisional Manager, the Plant Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating all activities related to the production, staffing, sanitation, and maintenance of the company’s production and all directly related operations. The Plant Manager will be required to manage a harmonious work environment. He/She is also responsible for developing strategies and methods to increase efficiency and create a better product so that all targets and KPI’s are met.

Job Responsibility:

  • Direct and coordinate all activities related to production, staffing, sanitation, and maintenance
  • Manage a harmonious work environment
  • Develop strategies and methods to increase efficiency and meet targets and KPIs
  • Provide management oversight of critical processes, maintenance, stores, and sanitation operations
  • Improve engagement of staff
  • Develop and implement procedures for plant operations in accordance with company guiding principles and QMS system
  • Continue planning for improvements in quality, efficiency, productivity, safety, security, and general progress
  • Review distribution requests to ensure production and inventories meet demands
  • Serve as liaison between company and customers and suppliers
  • Ensure CB Group policies, objectives, mission, and vision are communicated to staff
  • Assist in recruitment and training of staff
  • Ensure safety of staff and assets and compliance with regulations
  • Report as required to Divisional Manager on all operations

Requirements:

  • 1st Degree in Engineering, Process Technology, or Production Management
  • Minimum 5yrs experience in a production environment
  • Knowledge of the application and implementation of quality systems and safety procedures
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of accounting principles and the ability to understand financial reports and statements
  • Competent in the use of spreadsheets and word processing applications
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make on-the-spot decisions in various situations
  • Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels
