As a Plant Manager, you will take full responsibility for a highly specialized manufacturing site with advanced CNC automation. The plant operates in a lean structure and focuses on producing complex metal components and mold systems for the steel and glass industries. This role requires a hands-on leadership approach, combining operational oversight with a clear focus on efficiency, safety and quality. You will act as an interface between headquarters and other international plants, supporting stable operations and continuous developments.
Job Responsibility:
Managing all aspects of daily plant operations, ensuring production runs smoothly and targets are consistently achieved
Controlling costs and overseeing budgeting processes while conducting detailed monthly performance reviews to maintain financial efficiency
Ensuring health & safety compliance across the plant, implementing proactive measures to create and sustain a safe working environment
Leading and developing plant employees, fostering engagement, motivation, and continuous improvement within the team
Implementing process optimization initiatives, enhancing productivity, and ensuring operational excellence through hands-on involvement
Requirements:
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, combined with a proactive, results-oriented mindset
Several years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial production environment
Technical understanding of manufacturing and automated processes
Proven ability in cost control, budgeting, and efficiency improvement
Proficient in MS Office and experienced in working with ERP systems
German - fluent
English - fluent
Nice to have:
Knowledge of CNC machine processes
experience or insight in training or mentoring apprentices
