Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all aspects of the rice milling plant, including receiving paddy rice, milling, processing into rice flour, packaging, and shipping
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing throughput and minimizing downtime
  • Manage equipment maintenance, process improvements, and continuous efficiency initiatives
  • Directly supervise, hire, train, and develop a team of 20–30 employees (operators, technicians, quality assurance, and support staff)
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct performance reviews, address disciplinary issues, and promote professional growth
  • Lead sales efforts for rice flour products, including identifying new customers (food manufacturers, distributors, bakeries, etc.), negotiating contracts, and managing key accounts
  • Collaborate with the farming division to align supply with market demand
  • Manage plant-level budgeting, cost control, inventory valuation, and profitability tracking
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and forecasts for executive leadership
  • Oversee raw material costing, yield tracking, and pricing strategies
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, FDA, FSMA, etc.) and maintain certifications
  • Implement and enforce all workplace safety policies and environmental regulations
  • Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Coordinate with the upstream farming operations for timely and consistent raw rice supply
  • Manage inventory of finished goods, packaging materials, and spare parts
  • Prepare the plant for future expansion and process upgrades

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, food processing, or agricultural operations
  • Proven experience managing teams
  • Demonstrated sales experience (B2B preferred) and solid accounting/finance knowledge (budgeting, cost accounting, P&L management)
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems)

Nice to have:

  • Direct experience in grain milling, rice milling, flour production, or related food processing industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Science, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA, GMP) and lean manufacturing principles
