The General Manager will lead the overall operations of a manufacturing facility, setting strategic direction and driving performance across all functional areas. This individual will be responsible for executing both long-term strategy and day-to-day operations, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The role requires a strong leader who can balance operational execution with business growth initiatives and team development.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with executive leadership to define and execute business strategy and operational goals
Provide direction to cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment with company objectives
Oversee all core functions including manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance
Drive operational performance by establishing KPIs focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, including full P&L responsibility
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational effectiveness
Foster a collaborative environment across departments to support productivity and customer satisfaction
Ensure production, quality, and delivery commitments are consistently met
Support business growth by maintaining strong customer relationships and contributing to new opportunities
Evaluate organizational structure, staffing, and resource allocation to support business needs
Promote a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
10+ years of experience in manufacturing or a related industry
5+ years of leadership experience in a plant or operations management role
Experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred
Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
Proven experience managing P&L and driving financial performance
Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactically
Financial acumen with experience analyzing operational and business performance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to drive operational improvements and manage organizational change
Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
