Job Description:

The North Cove Site HR Leader has responsibilities over the manufacturing site in North Carolina, 'North Cove,' the largest Solutions plant in Baxter, with over 2,600 employees. This role is responsible for establishing well performing HR operations that meet key performance indicators, drive productivity improvements and achieves operational excellence as measured internally and externally against benchmarks. The North Cove Site HR Leader ensures successful delivery by implementing best in class systems and processes from the portfolio of HR solutions and leads a team of 5 direct reports. This role also supports the manufacturing, quality and all other functions within this facility.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drives overall execution of plans and strategies, continually monitors effectiveness for the HR function
  • Consults with management on a variety of HR and business-related issues, both strategically and operationally, aligning the HR function with the business goals
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and direction to a team of five direct reports, ensuring clarity of priorities, fostering professional growth, and enabling high performance across all HR functional responsibilities
  • Continually assesses the effectiveness of the organization’s business model and organization dynamics and leads efforts to realign/refocus as needed
  • Drives organization wide talent planning initiatives including assessment, calibration, development planning and succession planning
  • Provide coaching and development to senior leaders
  • Drive an effective reward and recognition strategy that reinforces the culture and behaviors
  • Develop and implement measurement systems to determine the impact of HR programs
  • Provide coaching and consultation on complex and sensitive employee relations issues, offering strategic guidance to leaders in navigating sensitive situations, policy interpretation, and resolution approaches
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
  • Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with a concentration in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology or equivalent required
  • Master degree in HR preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience, that includes at least 5 years of generalist experience
  • Medical equipment or Pharma manufacturing background preferred
  • SHRM-CP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Fast paced, high volume manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience driving leadership capability building, coaching, and cultural alignment
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with management team and to coach and influence decision making of senior leaders
  • Demonstrated success leading HR through digital, operational, or structural change
  • Strong operational accountability, especially in regulated or large manufacturing environments
  • History of delivering measurable results through HR strategy, talent initiatives, and workforce performance systems
  • Strong capability in HR analytics, workforce planning, predictive metrics, and KPI development
  • Strong knowledge of current HR market practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively to ensure compliance, guide policy development, and support sound decision‑making
