Company background:A well-known European automotive parts supplier. Position Overview: We are seeking an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented, and highly capable Plant General Manager to oversee our complete manufacturing operations and business growth. Unlike traditional operational plant managers, the ideal candidate will come from a strong sales/business development background, possessing a sharp commercial mindset to drive revenue, expand market share, and optimize cost structures. As the top leader of a dynamic team of just under 100 employees, you will hold full P&L responsibility and exercise comprehensive corporate management. You will directly oversee and integrate all core functions, including Sales, Production/Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, HR & Administration, and IT to ensure seamless collaboration and sustainable profitability.

Job Responsibility

  • Leverage your strong sales background to lead business development strategies, identify new market opportunities, and drive revenue growth
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Align manufacturing capabilities with market demands to ensure the factory is agile and customer-centric
  • Take full ownership of the factory’s P&L, budgeting, and financial forecasting
  • Implement strict and strategic cost-control measures across production, procurement, and operations to maximize profit margins without compromising quality
  • Optimize supply chain and resource allocation to improve overall cost efficiency
  • Provide strategic leadership and daily management to a diverse leadership team covering: Sales, Production, Finance, Legal, HR & Administration, and IT
  • Break down departmental silos, fostering a highly collaborative, transparent, and high-performance company culture
  • Ensure full compliance with local laws, environmental regulations, corporate governance, and safety standards (EHS)
  • Oversee the production floor to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 6 Sigma) to optimize manufacturing efficiency and digitalize workflow (via IT infrastructure)

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in Sales, Business Development, or Key Account Management within the manufacturing sector before moving into general management
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of senior leadership experience (Plant Manager, General Manager, or Deputy GM) with full P&L responsibility
  • Experience managing a medium-sized enterprise (around 150–250 employees) is highly preferred
  • Exceptional skills in business development, negotiation, and market analysis
  • Strong capability in cost accounting, budget management, and financial analysis
  • Proven ability to manage non-production functions like HR, Legal, and Finance effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate a multidisciplinary team
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Engineering, International Trade, or a related discipline (MBA is a plus)
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken) is required

Nice to have

  • Experience managing a medium-sized enterprise (around 150–250 employees)
  • MBA is a plus
