Plant Controller

• Direct the day-to-day work of the accounting function, including guidance and oversight for accounting analysts or clerical staff handling transactional finance activities
• Produce timely monthly and annual financial results, review statements for accuracy, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger
• Lead closing activities at period end, ensuring reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation are completed accurately and on schedule
• Oversee receivables, payables, and collections processes to support healthy cash flow and consistent financial operations
• Build, document, and enforce accounting procedures and internal controls designed to reduce risk and maintain compliance
• Partner with leadership to prepare annual budgets, update forecasts, and explain financial performance through meaningful variance analysis
• Manage plant cost accounting by reviewing standard and actual costs, labor performance, material consumption, and manufacturing trends to identify savings opportunities
• Monitor financial activity related to capital projects and provide reporting that supports operational and investment decisions
• Work closely with operations, production, and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and deliver actionable financial analysis, including use of NetSuite-based reporting tools
• Coordinate audit support, tax-related payments, insurance reporting needs, and adherence to applicable local, state, and federal requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting, with strong exposure to cost accounting, general ledger activity, auditing, and financial analysis
• Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, variance review, and month-end close responsibilities
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and support operational decision-making
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance and plant leadership teams
