We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to join our dynamic team in Norfolk, Nebraska. In this role, you will oversee financial operations and performance metrics within a manufacturing environment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting and analysis. This position requires someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and production planning.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor and evaluate yield performance to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization
Prepare detailed financial reports to share insights with stakeholders and support decision-making
Track and analyze capital expenditure variances, providing actionable recommendations to align with budgets and forecasts
Review manufacturing expenses to ensure accurate financial reporting and pinpoint cost-saving opportunities
Manage production schedules, ensuring alignment with operational goals and deadlines
Assess production processes to implement efficiency improvements, focusing on uptime and quality outputs
Investigate inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to maintain accuracy
Collaborate with teams to create monthly business review presentations, summarizing financial and operational performance
Coordinate physical inventory counts, reconciling records and resolving discrepancies in partnership with warehouse and production teams
Oversee and manage profit and loss (P&L) statements for the facility, ensuring financial health and compliance
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production analyst, financial analyst, or similar role within manufacturing
Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, including financial modeling, variance analysis, and budgeting
Strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and standard cost accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis and reporting
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences
Detail-oriented with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with production planning, inventory management practices, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required
