The Plant / Site Controller is responsible for leading all financial, cost accounting, budgeting, and internal reporting functions for the a manufacturing plant / site. This role ensures accurate, timely, and relevant financial information to support operational decision making, maximize plant cost efficiency, and maintain financial compliance. The Controller works closely with plant leadership and cross functional teams (operations, maintenance, procurement, sales) to monitor and control manufacturing costs, analyze variances, and drive continuous improvement. In addition, the Plant Controller oversees financial risks, implements internal controls, supports capital project evaluation, and ensures that the plant meets its financial and operational performance targets.
Job Responsibility:
Provide actionable financial insight, ensure financial transparency, support strategic decisions
Serve as finance business partner to plant leadership, influence performance and decision-making
Ensure integrity, compliance, and timely financial delivery
Perform general accounting / cost accounting, and compliance responsibilities
Requirements:
1+ years in a fast paced accounting department, preferably in a manufacturing setting
6-12 month training at our Plant in Oxford, AL
Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or the equivalent experience
Experience in making balance sheet reconciliations
Experience with Monthly and Year-end closing processes
Experience assisting with semi-annual and year-end audits
Understanding of manufacturing costing processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work without direct supervision
Strong customer service skills and sense of urgency
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
