We’re partnering with a large Plant in Canonsburg, PA. This is a company experiencing growth in several forms—new service lines, geographic expansion, and increased operational complexity. As the organization continues to scale, we are seeking a high‑caliber Plant Controller who brings deep experience managing the financial operations of large, high‑revenue in the construction, engineering, manufacturing, electrical, logistics, utilities spaces, or something in a similar industry. This person will be a key leader in modernizing the accounting function and shaping the future of the organization. With a new enterprise-wide ERP implementation on the horizon, this is a critical moment to step in, make an impact, and help build a best‑in‑class financial infrastructure.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the full accounting function, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness across all financial activities
Oversee month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
Partner closely with operations, engineering, construction project leaders, and executive leadership to provide financial insight and guidance
Drive improvements in processes, policies, and financial controls to support growth and operational efficiency
Play a key leadership role in the upcoming ERP implementation, ensuring systems, data, and processes are aligned for scalability
Manage, mentor, and develop an accounting team
build the next era of the finance organization
Work cross-functionally to enhance job costing, revenue recognition, inventory, WIP reporting, multi-entity consolidations, and financial visibility across the business
Requirements:
Proven Controller/Plant Controller experience
Industry experience in large, high-revenue in the construction, engineering, manufacturing, electrical, logistics, utilities spaces, or something in a similar industry
10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, with at least 3–5 years at the Controller level
Strong understanding of job cost accounting, revenue recognition, WIP, multi-entity structures, and project-based financials
A proactive, collaborative leader who enjoys being hands-on while also contributing at the strategic level
