Job Description

Ecolab is looking for a Plant Controller who will be responsible for managing the financial administration of the plant and for providing Plant and Operations management with key financial data and analyses to enable decision making in a wide variety of operational and accounting decisions. Reporting to the Manufacturing Controller – Europe, the role will take a lead position in controlling cost and forecasts for the plant.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain required systems and procedures that monitor the effectiveness of plant operations
  • Establish budgeting process and procedures and provide supplementary information as required including in areas such as material loss/scrap, inventory, obsolescence
  • Develop key performance measurements and establish tracking systems
  • Develop product costing
  • Prepare and analyse the key monthly financial reports for the plants
  • Be actively involved in plant management to identify and follow through on operational efficiencies and financial savings
  • Perform audit function (SOX) to assure policies are being followed
  • recommend improvements and help make changes
  • Comply with all site Health and Safety requirements and improvement programs
  • The position will require occasional travel to the plant(s)

Requirements

  • Master degree in Finance, Economics or similar education
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in Finance in a multinational company, including Plant Controlling experience (strong asset)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and a general 'system savviness' (e.g. SAP experience)
  • Strong personal agility
  • Ability to fit in and work with the management team, and other stakeholders, e.g. S&OP (Operational Planning), and challenge and get buy-in where needed
  • Ability to work both individually and in close collaboration (often remotely)
  • Strong English language competency
