Job Description

I'm currently partnered with a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Plant Controller to join its leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting leader who wants ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to make an immediate impact. The Controller will oversee site-level accounting operations, strengthen processes and controls, and partner closely with operations and executive leadership.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead site-level accounting operations and reporting
  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
  • Manage GL, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
  • Oversee cost accounting and inventory controls
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis
  • Strengthen internal controls and compliance processes
  • Support consolidations and intercompany accounting
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Partner with Operations and leadership teams
  • Lead and develop accounting team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with recent leadership position
  • Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience
  • Strong month-end close experience
  • Cost accounting and inventory knowledge
  • Solid U.S. GAAP and controls knowledge
  • ERP experience and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong business partnership skills
  • Process improvement mindset

Nice to have

  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
  • CPA, MBA, or CMA
  • Public accounting background
  • Multi-site or global manufacturing exposure
  • M&A or integration experience
