Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Plant Controller to manage accounting operations at our manufacturing facility in Carrollton, Texas. This role involves overseeing inventory management, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. As a key liaison between the plant and corporate office, the Plant Controller will play a vital role in driving financial accuracy and supporting operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee inventory control processes and collaborate with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate reporting
  • Analyze price and usage variances while maintaining precise standard costs and system integrity
  • Implement and uphold internal controls, compliance standards, and audit documentation to meet regulatory requirements
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to department leaders, supporting strategic decision-making
  • Evaluate financial performance metrics, such as capacity planning and pricing, to identify potential improvements and enhance working capital
  • Perform account reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate financial records
  • Prepare and complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including productivity analysis, reserve evaluations, and third-party logistics spending
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial practices with operational goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Advanced certifications in accounting or finance are preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a preference for candidates with manufacturing industry expertise
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting practices and financial systems
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Dynamics 365, Epicor, or NetSuite, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
