Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a leading manufacturing company based in the Triad. This position requires a strong background in cost accounting and financial analysis to support the organization's operational and profitability goals. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assess both granular data and overarching business trends.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and maintain the standard costing system to ensure accurate financial data
  • Review and update Bills of Materials (BOM) with precise cost information
  • Analyze existing cost standards and propose enhancements as needed
  • Develop costing structures for new product introductions and manufacturing technologies
  • Conduct profitability analyses for price, mix, and production processes on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost data aligns with operational objectives
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as V-lookups and pivot tables, for data analysis and reporting
  • Provide detailed financial insights while maintaining a strategic perspective to guide decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards within the manufacturing industry

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting
  • Proficiency in standard cost accounting and cost analysis methodologies
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including V-lookups and pivot tables
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Experience with Bills of Materials (BOM) and associated cost structures
  • Strong analytical abilities paired with attention to detail and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to manage system implementations and process conversions
