Job Description

The Role My client is a prestigious utility company currently looking for an administrator to support plant activities. You will need to provide plant items on demand, providing best quality/value for money.

Job Responsibility

  • Place Plant orders accurately, on a timely basis, and in accordance with company policy
  • Check that correct rental costs are being charged on the invoices
  • Ensure order specification is correctly understood before raising orders
  • Review Plant order requests to ensure consistency with previous similar orders, and in accordance with company policy
  • Liaise with yard staff to ensure a free flow of information about expected on & off-hires of plant items and status of owned equipment in the yard
  • Assist Transport Manager in the production of relevant statistics
  • Work with other Team members to cover the BAU aspects of the Transport department

Requirements

  • Knowledge of plant items supplied by major providers – e.g., GAP, Sunbelt Rentals, Speedy Hire
  • Knowledge of civils plant items commonly used in the installation of fibre optic networks
  • Experience of using Purchase Order and equipment databases
