Job Description

The role sits within the Great Britain Service Operations team, reporting to the GB Area Manager. The department is responsible for the performance of the Vestas portfolio of wind farms under service within the region. The department consists of field operations, planning and service support personnel all focusing on delivering the highest of operational excellence to our customers assets.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of dispatchers to deliver services in line with KPIs, contractual obligations, and customer expectations
  • Plan and schedule work efficiently to minimise downtime and maximise productivity, ensuring tools, parts, and services are optimised ahead of execution
  • Make effective prioritisation decisions in response to changing operational and business needs
  • Own short- and long-term forecasting, monitoring performance, quality, and efficiency against plan
  • Track and control Planning & Scheduling KPIs and PPIs, implementing corrective and mitigation actions where required
  • Proactively identify, consolidate, and escalate issues clearly to relevant stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning and scheduling processes to enhance operational performance

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in relatable subject (Appropriate work experience also considered)
  • Experience with people management
  • Experience in a similar operational role/department dealing with planning/logistics/service
  • Completed technical, commercial or project management training is an advantage
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • IT skills (preferred: SAP, Salesforce, MS Office)
  • Able to work under pressure and make prioritisations as and when needed
  • High degree of flexibility (working in a fast paced environment)
  • Change management skills, ability to lead teams to success and drive initiatives to fruition
  • Business mindset, skilled working in a process-oriented way, but able to make agile decisions when needed
  • Good at networking, stakeholder management as well as upwards communication
  • Safety minded
  • Service-minded with a natural motivation towards giving a high level of customer service

Completed technical, commercial or project management training is an advantage
