As Planning Officer, you’ll support port logistics by ensuring planning systems, purchasing, and compliance processes are delivered accurately and in line with operational need. The role has no set roster and requires flexibility with shifts across Days, Afternoon, Nights, and weekends (24 / 7 coverage). If you’re flexible, able to accommodate changing hours, and eager to learn you’ll fit right in.
Job Responsibility:
Maintaining up-to-date data and records in logistics systems to support operational planning
Delivering high-quality customer service by resolving issues and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with operational standards, including NHVR, customs, and biosecurity requirements
Supporting purchasing and planning tasks to align with customer agreements and business targets
Monitoring service levels and provide updates to meet internal and external reporting requirements
Requirements:
Willingness to learn (and ask questions when you need to)
Good computer skills and confidence picking up new systems
A customer-first mindset and clear communication
Flexibility to work a roster that can shift around a little (including afternoons ,Nights and weekends, sometimes at short notice)
Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (or willingness to get one
