The Planning Lead purpose and responsibility is to provide schedule development, maintenance, monitor and control of confidential and sensitive schedule and cost related data, schedule and planning evaluation / examination, schedule and cost developmental consolidation, cost reporting and analyzing, monitoring and formulating cost improvement recommendations.
Job Responsibility:
Develops and maintains project schedules ensuring they reflect the approved project design/execution scope
Reviews Contractor project control procedures to ensure requirements are met
Reviews and checks Contractor progress reports for accuracy of progress measurement
Reviews and monitors the EPC Contractor’s schedules for logic, detail, and interfaces
Ensures subcontractor schedules are integrated into overall EPC schedules
Ensures vendor and supplier schedules for critical equipment and bulks are integrated into overall EPC schedules
Monitors and appraises Contractor performance against control plans for progress and schedule control
Evaluates project changes for schedule impact and incorporates approved changes into the overall schedule
Advises on potential schedule issues, provides corrective actions, and verifies their implementation
Conducts periodic meetings with the Contractor to review progress and reports project status to management
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business Management/administration or Commercial disciplines
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project scheduling and controls for EPC oil and gas facilities capital projects / operating companies
Thorough and extensive knowledge of project controls principles, theories, and concepts
At least five (7) years site/field scheduling experience
Experience developing work methods in accordance to established Company policies, directives from Management, schedules and professional engineering standards
Good troubleshooting skills
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
Able to work within a defined role with limited supervision
Advanced computer literacy skills (Primavera P6, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Hands on working experience in Primavera P6 Version 18 and above
Advanced knowledge of using Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis or similar software for conducting Schedule Risk Analysis
