Job Description:

Are you organised, detail‑driven and enjoy keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We’re looking for a Planning Coordinator to support our manufacturing planning function, ensuring production plans, data and systems are accurate, up to date and aligned to business priorities. You’ll play a key role in supporting production flow, maintaining planning data integrity, and providing clear reporting to help teams make informed decisions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Release, maintain and close Works Orders in line with the agreed production sequence
  • Load weekly demand forecasts into the ERP system and support weekly MRP runs
  • Produce and distribute WIP reports and weekly production statistics
  • Maintain planning data, trackers and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Support Product Change Notes (PCNs) administration and system updates
  • Assist with documenting and maintaining planning procedures and work instructions
  • Identify data or system inconsistencies and escalate issues appropriately
  • Provide cover and operational support within the Planning team as required

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Understanding of ERP systems and Bill of Materials (experience with Epicor Avante is desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of data accuracy
  • Confident Excel skills (including formulas, filters and pivot tables)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage changing demands
  • Clear communicator who can work effectively across Planning, Production and wider teams
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
