Job Description:

The Planning Assistant supports the Planning Executive by assisting in preparing production plans, maintaining planning data, and coordinating with production departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery of customer orders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in preparing daily and weekly production plans based on customer orders and capacity
  • Update and maintain planning trackers, schedules, and dashboards
  • Collect production progress data from Knitting, Linking, Sewing, and Finishing departments
  • Support monitoring of progress against plan and report deviations to the Planning Executive
  • Assist in coordinating with departments to confirm capacity, machine availability, and manpower
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into ERP and planning systems
  • Help in sequencing orders to reduce changeovers and improve efficiency
  • Prepare basic reports on production performance, delivery status, and capacity utilization
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Planning Department

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Management, Business, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in production planning, production coordination, or manufacturing operations (garment industry experience is an added advantage)
  • Good analytical and numerical skills with a basic understanding of production capacity
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadlines
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • High attention to detail with strong follow-up discipline
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic knowledge of ERP systems
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
