Job Description:

Planning and Cost Control Manager position responsible for project planning, scheduling, cost engineering, resources planning, and management reporting for large international mining projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for Planning and Scheduling and Controls, cost engineering and control, resources planning and control and management reporting
  • Coordinates with estimating unit and finance and accounting department in establishing a project chart of accounts of the awarded contract
  • Preparation of project schedule after contract award
  • Timely allocation, distribution, and assessment of resources to project in accordance with requirements
  • Monitors and evaluate project cost and resources performance on a weekly and monthly basis and prepare executive summary reports to top management
  • Prepares project operational budget based on work breakdown structures, showing each cost element (labour, material and equipment) and assigning cost, centres and codes covering indirect and direct cost distribution
  • Prompt monitoring and reporting project manpower census, movements, and utilization
  • Periodic analysis of project resources requirements project against available resources to be able to initiate the company sourcing arrangements with project management
  • Analysing cost and revenue, and organising cost control progress reports on the project
  • Monitoring, reporting, and forecasting project plans

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of proven work experience with project planning and controls and cost control
  • Experience working on large international mining projects is a must, preferably open-pit gold mine and in adverse conditions - high altitude and negative temperatures (required)
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in engineering, MS Project and Candy-CCS (added value)
  • Fluency in English, Armenian and/or Russian language (required)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem analysis and resolution

  • Rigor and reliability
  • Availability for mobility, to work on a rotation schedule in remote locations
