Job Responsibility
Developing, maintaining, and updating comprehensive baseline project schedules for utility-scale solar construction projects from engineering design through to commissioning
Conducting detailed site-based progress tracking and monitoring actual site civil, mechanical, and electrical installation works against planned milestones
Identifying schedule critical paths, tracking sub-contractor progress, and performing delay analysis to forecast potential bottlenecks and mitigation strategies
Collaborating closely with Site Project Managers, Procurement Teams, and Logistics Units to align material delivery schedules (such as solar modules, inverters, and mounting structures) with on-site construction sequences
Generating accurate weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and manpower histograms for client submission and internal senior management reviews
Facilitating regular on-site progress review meetings to communicate schedule updates, coordinate upcoming targets, and resolve scheduling conflicts with contractors
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 3 years of proven project planning and scheduling experience, preferably with experience gained on large-scale solar farms (LSS), infrastructure, or power plant projects within Malaysia
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project (MS Project) is mandatory, along with strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Primavera p6 proficiency shall be added advantage
Strong technical understanding of solar PV construction methodologies, sequencing, and critical milestones from civil earthworks to grid connection/interconnection
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to independently manage project controls on active construction sites and challenge subcontractor schedules constructively
Commitment to a 6-day work week on-site in Kedah / Perak, essential to support the fast-tracked, weather-dependent nature of solar farm construction timelines
