Our planning and scheduling team are an integral part to the successful running of our Asset Management contract that we deliver to Teign Housing, and we are looking for a new member to join it's high achieving team. As a Planner/Scheduler, you are part of a small, friendly, and efficient team based in Newton Abbot and you’ll enjoy the dynamics of working within a fast paced and everchanging working day, working to SLAs and KPIs, striving always to achieve the beast housing repairs service possible to our customers (Teign Housing residents). You will be joining a friendly and supportive team that share a genuine ‘working together’ ethos and passion for doing things ‘right’ to deliver and achieve as a team. Job Responsibility:
receive calls and emails regarding the organising and booking of residential repairs and minor refurbishment works on Teign Housing properties
make outbound calls to residents to book in essential compliance testing works (to include, gas, mechanical and electrical works)
consistently liaise with residents and operational trade teams to achieve the best service delivery
use dynamic scheduling system to manage operative diaries to ensure all works are carried out efficiently and within agreed timescales
manage emerging day, dealing with emergencies and exceptions
act as first point of contact for customers and trade operatives
input up-to-date, accurate and complete notes for each job/task on the system
Requirements:
demonstrable planning/scheduling experience ideally obtained from within a fast-paced dynamic environment that involves high volume telephone communication
strong IT skills (Microsoft Office) with the aptitude to pick up new systems and be able to follow processes consistently
excellent communication skills, with the strength of character and ownership/ accountability to make decisions and follow them through to completion and satisfaction
proactive and able to use initiative
determined, resilient and motivated to achieve targets
take pride in completing and achieving results independently as well as part of a team
