Job Description

The Planning Coordinator is responsible to manage the Planning and Purchasing department activities, to procure and administrate resources and also to identify opportunity areas in order to develop initiatives to improve Customer Service. The system used to support these activities is SAP.

Job Responsibility

  • Review the demand and installed capacity to assurance to cover the orders on time
  • Along with the Production Coordinator the workload and available lines are reviewed to create an efficient production plan
  • Establish priorities
  • Analyzes and makes reports on production results and critical indicators
  • Develop production plans and programs
  • Work to keep and/or increase the Planning and Purchasing metrics results
  • Check monthly results report
  • Coordinates and attends meetings
  • Train staff in planning area
  • This position will have responsibility of planners in the department

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Planning area within a manufacturing environment
  • 2 years’ experience in supervisor/management areas
  • Proficient in English language (written and spoken)
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office

  • Compliance with all Safety Rules and Procedures to ensure all work is always undertaken in a safe manner and participation in any Safety or Training initiatives identified and implemented by the Company and/or the Client
  • Maintain cost effective production procedures to achieve optimum plant output, availability, reliability and utilisation and achieve overall production targets
  • Maintain effective Safe Work Procedures and ensure continuous improvement is carried out
  • Ensure all tasks are adequately supervised and tasks are assigned daily to direct reports
  • Lead pre-starts meetings, 'daily performance meetings', and return to work meetings
  • Ensure clear expectations and accountabilities have been set with all team members and employees are held to account for their roles
  • Achieve Safety KPIs – take times, inspections, JHAs must be completed, and all items are to be entered and actioned in STEMS in a timely manner
  • Update, review and distribute safety and performance reports as directed
  • Assist in the organisation, planning, preparation and execution of plant shutdowns by providing input in shutdown meetings
