Job Responsibility:
Plan for key components for long term purchase and strategy plan
Analyze based on demand scenarios, come up weekly inv health reports and drive actions with cross function team to support business growth. it will include but not limit to engage with engineering team on qualification status, work with product planning and demand planning to shape the demand, control the build with primary/alternative components, work with procurement to drive strategy and adjust delivery plan
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate materials for production
Utilize advanced tools to plan, analysis/simulation
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to win the business and reduce costs
Prepare and present regular reports on status and planning metrics to management
Train and mentor junior planners in production control methodologies and best practices
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the production process
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning or a related role within a manufacturing environment
Advanced knowledge of production planning software, ERP systems, and MRP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
Proficiency in software skill including Excel, Power Point, SAP/Oracel, JDA. Power BI
In-depth understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and industry best practices
Nice to have:
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
power BI, power query, Python/SQL knowledge is a plus
