Job Description

To complete shower head descaling across the Travelodge estate in line with Health & Safety compliance. Working methodically to a pre-planned route to ensure programme deadlines are consistently achieved. To observe safe working practices and comply with all health & safety legislation. To develop strong working relationships with the hotel operations teams ensuring that the customer is a key focus. To report all completed jobs liaising with HM’s and central office.

Job Responsibility

  • To complete shower head descaling across the Travelodge estate in line with Health & Safety compliance
  • Working methodically to a pre-planned route to ensure programme deadlines are consistently achieved
  • To observe safe working practices and comply with all health & safety legislation
  • To develop strong working relationships with the hotel operations teams ensuring that the customer is a key focus
  • To report all completed jobs liaising with HM’s and central office
  • To work with your Team Leader and other colleagues to ensure that programme deadlines are achieved and that all areas worked in are left clean, dry and tidy as found
  • To ensure all relevant Certificates are completed inline with compliance procedures
  • The Cleaning of Extractor Fan Units
  • Drive and maintain strong relationships with the hotel operations team in line with our values
  • To comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant legislation and Travelodge policies and procedures and H&S responsibility for direct reports
  • Ensure that PPE is used as required
  • To ensure that all jobs allocated are consistently completed to a satisfactory finish in accordance with agreed standards and KPIs and completion communicated to the central office
  • To be responsible for returning rooms to sale as quickly and efficiently as possible in a safe manner
  • To manage van storage of stock to agreed levels and ensure that you have materials available to complete jobs as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • Ongoing communication about any issues arising
  • May also assist with other Maintenance teams where necessary

Requirements

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Ability to work nationally overnight stays away from home Monday-Friday
  • Drive and determination to continuously improve
  • High levels of customer insight and brand passion
  • Good communication skills, both internally and with suppliers and 3rd parties
  • IT and systems literate desirable
  • Proven track record of delivery and success
  • Good level of personal impact and confidence

Nice to have

  • Experience of working within a hotel environment would be advantageous
  • Experience within a similar role and a knowledge of Legionella prevention would be an advantage but not critical

  • Prepare surfaces for decoration, including filling, sanding, and finishing to a high standard
  • Undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the property
  • Complete minor repairs and maintenance works across a range of trade disciplines
  • Ensure statutory compliance and health and safety requirements are maintained at all times
  • Report maintenance issues and outstanding actions promptly, keeping relevant stakeholders informed of progress
  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure maintenance works are completed efficiently
