Job Description:

Ready To Translate Complex Health Plan Designs into Clear, Compliant Documents? Health plans only work if they’re understood. This role turns complex benefit designs into clear, accurate documents that clients, members, and regulators rely on. You’ll shape how plans are communicated and executed making sure what’s written aligns with how plans are built, administered, and experienced.

Job Responsibility:

  • Draft and maintain plan documents: Write, review, and update Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), restatements, revisions, and benefit summaries to reflect current plan design
  • Produce regulatory materials: Create and edit Summary of Benefits & Coverage (SBC), Summary of Material Modifications (SMM), and Summary of Material Reduction (SMR) documents
  • Interpret plan intent: Review internal documentation and legacy plan documents to translate client intent into accurate, enforceable language
  • Ensure regulatory alignment: Update plan documents with required regulatory language and confirm compliance across all materials
  • Validate plan accuracy: Review internal benefit documentation to ensure alignment with plan builds and operational setup
  • Resolve plan questions: Respond to Account Management, Plan Build, and Operations teams on plan provisions and documentation details

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in a related field
  • English language proficiency
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience with self-funded health plan development and implementation (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Federal Health Care Laws
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Document drafting and editing for SPDs, SBCs, SMMs, and SMRs
  • Review and interpretation of health plan documents and benefit structures
  • Research and application of regulatory language in plan documentation
