Fortis is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Placement Therapist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring therapist to develop their skills and gain valuable experience working towards their placement hours in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Mentorship: You will be paired with a Lead (mentor) who will help you build confidence, develop skills, and establish goals that align with your aspirations
  • Regular Contact: Maintain regular contact with your Lead to address any questions, queries, or concerns, and receive support within Fortis
  • Monthly Check-Ins: Participate in regular monthly check-ins with your Lead to track progress and receive feedback
  • Peer Support: Engage in bi-monthly peer support sessions to share experiences and learn from colleagues
  • Continuous Guidance: Receive continuous guidance and support throughout your training period
  • Skill Development: Focus on developing a wide range of therapeutic skills
  • Training Opportunities: Take advantage of free training opportunities to enhance your professional growth

Requirements:

  • currently attending a college or university course counselling course
  • a student member of a recognised professional body and adhere to the ethical framework and standards
  • passionate about the journey to become a therapist and to making a positive impact in mental health
  • excellent at communication and have interpersonal skills
  • willing to learn and grow in a supportive environment
  • able to work collaboratively with a team
