Job Description:

Assist in placement of new and existing commercial insurance business, whilst developing and maintaining, strong relationships with key clients, insurance companies, carriers and partners. Become the recognised technical expert to Account Directors, Account Executives and Handlers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Liase with new and existing commercial insurance clients, insurance companies and carriers
  • Design marketing campaigns
  • Build be-spoke programmes in line with client needs
  • Assist colleagues in placement of SME, mid and large commercial insurance risks
  • Provide an ethical, professional and cost-effective broking service
  • Adhere to company and FCA regulations and guidelines
  • Identify correct markets for placement of risks
  • Identify new business and cross-sell opportunities
  • Prepare market presentations and negotiate with insurers
  • Keep Acturis records up to date

Requirements:

  • Track record of broking new and existing commercial insurance business risks
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products including motor, property, EL, PL, commercial combined, business interruption, etc.
  • Confident in building relationships and negotiating with insurers
  • Enjoy attending seminars and networking events
  • Strong communication, business development and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive when working in a sales environment
  • Acturis experience preferred
  • CII exams or working towards preferred
  • Experienced in developing business strategies, marketing campaigns and building pipelines and winning new business
