PL1 Batch Developer

• Technical design and implementation of PL/1-based business applications
• Align with product owner and team members to understand business requirements
• Consult and support customers in terms of software implementation
• Design and implement Batch Applications in PL/1
• Utilize extension patterns offered by development frameworks
• Contribute to development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation
• Work with DevOps engineers to guarantee stable environments
• Support quality engineering
• Maintain program libraries and technical documentation
• Provide enhancements to deployed applications

• Very good knowledge/experience working with PL1
• Basic knowledge in Linux as an OS, standard Linux commands (e.g. vi editor, grep, …)
• Practical experience with version management systems (e.g. GIT, …)
• Practical experience with technical documentation of batch processes (preferably in Rochade)
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (C1), both verbal and written
• Flexibility to travel to Vienna
• Team-minded and problem-solving attitude
• Resourceful mindset
• Ideally Java basic knowledge (e. g. Interfaces, Abstract Classes, Generics, Thread, TDBC, Collections Framework, Exception Handling, …)
