Job Description

We are looking for a PIPELINE HSE Advisor with the following details : Location : Basra, Iraq. Work Scheme : Rotational 4x4. Duration : 24 months, extendable.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years working experience of a high hazard industry, i.e. Construction, Oil & Gas, onshore plant and others including previous experience in HSE Supervisory role (Min 10 years)
  • Professional HSE qualification at Diploma / Degree level minimum (e.g. MSc occupational Health and Safety or NEBOSH diploma/Certificate)
  • Understanding of development and construction activities mainly pipe and/or pipeline installation
  • Good understanding of HSE policies and strategies, HSE Management Systems and Risks & Middle East country Legal Framework
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body
  • Experience in incident investigation
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental legislation
  • Knowledge of group standards and/or previous experience with other major IOCs in large oil and gas construction projects
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience in the implementation of behavioral safety systems and analyzing the data produced
  • Understanding of oil and gas production equipment, processes, and utility systems
  • Experience reviewing and commenting on Contractor construction phase HSE plans and related documents
  • Good knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk assessments techniques
  • Good knowledge of HSE legislation and international standards, including IOGP standards, onshore plant standards, ISO and Company referential framework (Rules, Specifications, Guides)
  • Ability to proactively drive positive change
  • Be a Role model to establish effective team working
  • Autonomy and previous experience in working transversally
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English. Spoken and written Arabic is a plus

  • Receive and create calls for service, both emergency and non-emergency, and enter them into the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
  • Communicate with first responders via radio, telephone, and email
  • Determines nature of service requested and dispatches police, fire, or EMS unit(s), in accordance with needs, as guided
  • Maintains contact with dispatched unit(s) and relays information between units, as needed, verbally communicating with First Responders via radio communications
  • Coordinates mutual aid response(s) with participating jurisdictions
  • Performs administrative tasks to include recording calls, preparing logs, and retrieving data from the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System, the Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN), and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) databases
  • Uses proper broadcast procedures, calming emotionally distraught callers, as necessary
  • Routes and or re-routes or transfers calls appropriately
  • Provide excellent customer service to all parties that you interact with, whether it is an internal MWAA person, external partner or traveling public
  • Performs ECT level maintenance on public safety communication equipment as well as general office equipment
