Job Responsibility

Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and replacement of fixed equipment
Routine maintenance work for fixed equipment mechanics consists of boilermaker, pipefitter, and welder craft skillset
Work will be performed both in the field and in a shop setting
This is for routine maintenance and requires a diverse skillset, performing a variety of work depending on the day’s schedule
Regardless of the craft expertise you hire in with, you will be expected to progress through boilermaker, pipefitter, and welder to reach master craft
You will be required to be on-call on a rotation
You will be expected to follow all safety policies and mechanical procedures for performing work safely within the refinery
All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, and vision of the organization

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a pipefitter
Must have all the required hand tools
Must be able to read and understand blueprints as well as company policies
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for our company without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently on the job and able to climb more than 300 feet
Must be able to pull own weight when climbing steel bracing and ladders

Job Responsibility

Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders
Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints
Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment
Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications
Select pipe sizes and types and related materials, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications
Cut and bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls, and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools
Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools
Install automatic controls used to regulate pipe systems
Remove and replace worn components
