Previous agricultural experience is desirable

Job Responsibility

You will be actively involved with all areas of the pig cycle
You will be based on one of our units
On a day-to-day basis this includes feeding, moving, and handling the pigs
You will also maintain the condition and appearance of the farming unit

Job Responsibility

Feeding, moving, serving, treating, vaccinating, and handling the pigs
Loading and unload pigs as required by the unit’s production system
Ensuring that animal welfare is in accordance with Company policies (Red Tractor Assured Standards)
Ensuring that the five freedoms in respect of animal welfare are followed
Adhering to Company Codes of Practice and Policies at all times
Ensuring that all Feed Systems/Water systems and all other equipment is in good working order and fixing faults and report any defects immediately to your Line Manager
Reporting any site damage immediately to the Line Manager
Understanding the importance of biosecurity and security of the unit
Ensuring that the unit is always kept clean and tidy and presentable to visitors with regular pressure washing being essential
Where applicable, ensuring all buildings and compounds are secured out of working hours
