As a Personal Injury Advocate, you will play a crucial role in representing clients in various legal proceedings, ensuring the provision of high-quality advocacy services. You will handle cases within all the firm's Legal Departments, including Stage 3 hearings, Infant Settlement hearings, CMCs, CCMCs, and directions hearings. Your role will also involve exploring and expanding the firm's advocacy services to attract new clients. Providing advice, conducting research, performing analysis, and drafting documents as needed are essential aspects of this position. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and delivery of advocacy training for trainee solicitors and other legal advisers, working closely with the Legal Training Department.
Job Responsibility
Represent clients in various legal proceedings including Stage 3 hearings, Infant Settlement hearings, CMCs, CCMCs, and directions hearings
Explore and expand the firm's advocacy services to attract new clients
Provide advice, conduct research, perform analysis, and draft documents
Contribute to the development and delivery of advocacy training for trainee solicitors and other legal advisers
Provide guidance on technical issues involving quantum, liability and litigation
Highlight any potential risks to management
Undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business
Requirements
Must be a Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive Litigator and Advocate
A solid working knowledge of the CPR, legislation and relevant case law
Excellent advocate and litigator with strong drafting skills and the ability to recognise issues as they arise and provide commercial sound solutions
Team player and acts as a role model to colleagues, working to achieve business and team goals
Excellent research and problem solving skills with the ability to convey complex legal and factual issues to a variety of audiences
Ability to provide clear direction and advice and be accountable for advice provided
Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of MS Office
