Job Responsibility:
Take part in the delivery of the therapy service across the organisation, ensuring holistic, child and family centred care
Follow therapy programmes under the direction of the Therapist and feedback outcomes
Follow aqua therapy plans alongside the Therapist and independently
Be actively involved in the education, training and development of other care team members
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues
Travel in local communities and to both hospices
Work hours to meet the needs of the children and their families
Requirements:
A levels and GCSEs including grade C in English and Maths
NVQ Level 3 in Clinical Healthcare Support or equivalent (Desirable)
Experience working in a hospital/nursing environment
Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and children’s palliative care
A confident swimmer and have or be able to complete ‘Shallow water evacuation training’
Able to work independently and effectively in a team
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to do presentations
Nice to have:
NVQ Level 3 in Clinical Healthcare Support or equivalent
