Job Responsibility:

  • Take part in the delivery of the therapy service across the organisation, ensuring holistic, child and family centred care
  • Follow therapy programmes under the direction of the Therapist and feedback outcomes
  • Follow aqua therapy plans alongside the Therapist and independently
  • Be actively involved in the education, training and development of other care team members
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues
  • Travel in local communities and to both hospices
  • Work hours to meet the needs of the children and their families

Requirements:

  • A levels and GCSEs including grade C in English and Maths
  • NVQ Level 3 in Clinical Healthcare Support or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Experience working in a hospital/nursing environment
  • Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and children’s palliative care
  • A confident swimmer and have or be able to complete ‘Shallow water evacuation training’
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a team
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to do presentations

Nice to have:

NVQ Level 3 in Clinical Healthcare Support or equivalent
