The North Coast Community Services Society (NCCS) has a position available for a Physiotherapist in Prince Rupert. As a member of a multi-disciplinary service delivery team, under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Physiotherapist develops, implements, and evaluates individually designed programs of intervention to address physical and motor needs and supports recommendations for related assistive technology, educational, vocational, and recreational recommendations for children and youth with physical disabilities and/or delays in motor development. The goal is to help children and youth meet developmental milestones, minimize physical and motor challenges, and improve success in mobility and community participation.
Job Responsibility:
Develops, implements, and evaluates individually designed programs of intervention to address physical and motor needs
Supports recommendations for related assistive technology, educational, vocational, and recreational recommendations for children and youth with physical disabilities and/or delays in motor development
Helps children and youth meet developmental milestones, minimize physical and motor challenges, and improve success in mobility and community participation
Provides quality assessment and intervention services using culturally inclusive and trauma informed practices
Brings humanity, support, and guidance to families in need
Addresses complex community needs, including the use of remote service delivery technologies
Requirements:
Successful completion of an entry-to-practice physiotherapy program
Registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
Clear Criminal Record Review
Ability to use standard office and communication technologies and learn new applications
Physical ability to meet job requirements
Class 5 driver's license, clear driver's abstract and daily access to and use of vehicle
Nice to have:
Prior experience in pediatric PT service delivery and supervision of a Rehabilitation or Therapy Assistant
