Job Description:

The Physiotherapy Grade 3 Clinical Educator works collaboratively within the Physiotherapy department to identify key education needs and deliver education programs to address these needs. The Physiotherapy Clinical Educator also works alongside the other Allied Health Grade 3 Clinical Educators and the ASPIRE (Allied Health Strategy, Planning, Innovation, Research and Education) Unit, including the Grade 4 Clinical Education lead.

Job Responsibility:

  • Works collaboratively within the Physiotherapy department to identify key education needs and deliver education programs to address these needs
  • Works alongside the other Allied Health Grade 3 Clinical Educators and the ASPIRE Unit
  • Work closely with the Allied Health education team to promote efficiency and effectiveness in interdisciplinary and collaborative learning models of education
  • Assist in the implementation of the Western Health “Best Care” Framework, through the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic priorities aimed at improving the capability of the Allied Health workforce
  • Contribute and influence the physiotherapy workforce education program across a large and diverse department
  • Participate in Research and Quality Improvement as well as Physiotherapy and Allied Health committees
  • Work across all Western Health sites

Requirements:

  • Have excellent teaching skills and a demonstrated understanding of evidence-based learning principles and approaches in healthcare, including interprofessional learning and practice
  • Be able to effectively communicate and engage with a wide range of clinicians, staff, and managers across a range of organisational levels
  • Be able to determine clear priorities for specific projects and self, and work to deadlines
  • Be willing to learn and be committed to providing excellent patient care
  • Contribute to a culture that values ongoing learning and be part of a positive workplace
