Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join a dedicated palliative care team in Kent. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients with life-limiting conditions, supporting them to achieve the best possible quality of life. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention to patients in palliative care settings, helping to manage symptoms, maintain mobility, and promote comfort and independence.
Job Responsibility
Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessments and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
Support patients with complex conditions to optimise mobility, function, and quality of life
Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Provide guidance and education to patients, families, and carers
Contribute to discharge planning and ongoing care pathways
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records
Requirements
Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Previous experience at Band 5 or Band 6 level, ideally within palliative care, oncology, or community settings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Compassionate, patient-centred approach
Nice to have
Experience in palliative or end-of-life care
Experience working in community or hospice environments
Evidence of continued professional development
