Lead the Future: Physics Teacher (Loughton). Are you ready to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers? We are seeking an ambitious Physics Teacher to join an oversubscribed, high-performing 11-18 school in Loughton. This is a school where academic rigor meets a supportive community, and where Physics is a popular, high-achieving subject at both GCSE and A-Level.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging, high-impact Physics lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Lead practical experiments that bring complex theories like thermodynamics and quantum physics to life
  • Contribute to a forward-thinking Science department that values fresh ideas and collaborative planning
  • Act as a STEM ambassador, encouraging students-particularly girls-to pursue Physics at higher education

Requirements:

  • QTS/PGCE or an equivalent qualification
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service
  • A passion for practical science and high-level classroom engagement
  • The ability to track student progress and implement effective interventions
